Shiny & New!

Hello, darlings!

I’m so excited to share some wonderful news with you!

The troupe I dance with, Kabuki Guns Burlesque, has been accepted to the very first Oregon Burlesque Festival!  We’ll be performing in Portland, OR on Saturday, August 2, 2014.  It’s an amazing opportunity and I’m absolutely bursting at the seams about it!

Kabuki Guns Burlesque has also been accept into this year’s Edmonton Burlesque Festival.  We’ll be hitting the stage in Edmonton, AB on Saturday, September 13, 2014 to rock the socks off our fellow Albertans.

I recently had the chance to do a shoot with a fantastic photographer and, once I have his permission, I’ll be sharing some of those pictures with you!

In the meantime, I’m shimmying my butt off working on some great new skits and polishing up some old ones.

Kisses and bows,

Lottie

New Skit Update: July 14, 2013

Tailoring is a challenge for me, since I usually have assistance with my costume, and, while I did get some with pinning and basting, I’m handling the tailoring my dress by myself.  Every line of stitching is accompanied by sweaty palms and a sincere hope that I don’t completely ruin the dress, because I don’t have the funds or the time to make another.  I’m trying to take my time and breathe, but I’m so anxious.  I know that done/functional is better than perfect, but I don’t want to wear something on stage that looks like a one handed drunk made it.

Wish me luck!

Kisses and bows,

Lottie

New Skit Update: July 9, 2013

My dress is mostly done!!!

I’m so pleased with the look of the fabric.  I think I made it a size too big, though, so it will have to be taken in and then finished up, but I’m so beyond happy.

I’m also super, super proud of myself because I’ve done pretty much all the sewing myself thus far.

It’s such an incredible relief to have this huge piece of my act completed.

I think I’m going to go celebrate with some chocolate wafer cookies.

Kisses and bows,

Lottie
